Are you ready to OWN THE COMMUTE?

Run Commute 7-27 June 2017

Are your running shoes covered in dust? Or are they thin on the soles from pounding the streets in the local park? Then we want YOU!

Run Commute 7-27 June 2017 is the first national commuting challenge for new, active, or lapsed runners. Your challenge is to run all or part of the commute, as many days of the working week you can, for three weeks.

Why? To OWN the commute and win great prizes including Garmin wearable devices, Runbox garment carriers and great goodie bags.

Get a team of 2-4 workmates together and sign up on You can sign up by yourself if you can’t find another runner in your workplace, but the main prizes (and the leader board) are for teams. Please note your workplace must be registered in order to take part – contact to check.

What do we know about Run Commuting?
Not much! Other than it is happening… There’s no stats from the Census on run commutes – but one piece of research  from the UK from 2014 showed a rapid growth in run commuting, with the number of run commuters tripling in the two years previous to the research.

For those who run-commute, research  indicates that it becomes a regular habit – with 42% running to or from work two or three times a week, and 15% two or three times a month. 10% of runners ran to or from work every day.
