Nearly half of people coming into Dublin City Centre in the mornings are now arriving by public transport (bus, rail, Luas), with a further 15% walking or cycling. A third of people come into town by car in the mornings – down from 40% in 2010.
The annual Canal Cordon Report 2006-2014 was published today (April, 14 2015), and compiles data for people crossing the canal cordon into Dublin City Centre on an average morning (November) every year. The report was prepared by the National Transport Authority and Dublin City Council.
