What is the Pedometer Challenge?

The 2015 Pedometer Challenge is Over!

Congratulations to all teams that participated and we hope to see you again next year.  In the meantime, we hope you to continue to be active as you travel.

What is the Pedometer Challenge?

The National Transport Authority’s 8th annual PEDOMETER CHALLENGE took place from Monday 7th of September to Sunday 4th of October 2015.

We partner with the Irish Heart Foundation, to support people getting active and hitting their stepping goals over the course of the event.

Are you ready to find out how many steps you do on a daily basis – and more importantly, how many more you can do with your colleagues egging you on to clock them up?! Then you’ll love the Pedometer Challenge! It’s fun, free, workplace walking promotion for Smarter Travel Workplaces and Smarter Travel Campus Partners, where teams of 3 to 6 people clock up steps on a pedometer, aiming to increase their step counts and win prizes.

How do I take part?

Where can I buy a pedometer?
